Lower Sackville lawn, Mid summer, after first few applications

Mid April

Spring Fertilizer & Soil Testing

Our professional lawn services begin with a granular spring fertilizer application, paired with an initial soil sample to better understand your lawn’s specific needs. The fertilizer is specially formulated to replenish nutrients lost over winter, encourage early root activity, and support steady, healthy growth as the lawn wakes from dormancy.

The soil sample provides valuable insight into nutrient balance, pH levels, and overall soil condition. This information helps guide decisions throughout the season and ensures future applications are adjusted based on real data rather than assumptions.

Together, this early-season approach sets a strong foundation for a thicker, healthier lawn as the season progresses.

Late April - Early May

Spring Weed Control

Next we apply the lawn with a targeted application of Fiesta weed control in May. As weeds like dandelions, clover, and plantain start to emerge, applying Fiesta early helps eliminate them before they spread. This environmentally friendly, iron-based treatment weakens weeds, allowing your grass to thrive with less competition. A proactive May application sets the stage for a healthier, weed-free lawn heading into summer.

Late May - Early June

Summer Fertilizer + Weed Control

Late May - Early June is the perfect time to strengthen your lawn with a premium summer fertilizer. Our June lawn services provide a balanced blend of nutrients to promote deep green color, steady growth, and improved drought resistance. A properly fertilized lawn in June develops stronger roots, preparing it to withstand the summer heat while ensuring a lush, vibrant appearance well into the season.

Mid June

Insect Control & Brix Builder

Protect your lawn from destructive pests with our insect control treatment, designed to target chinch bugs and grubs as they begin to emerge. These insects can quickly cause severe damage, leading to dead patches and thinning grass. Our pest control services not only eliminate pests but also include a Brix booster to raise plant sugar levels, naturally increasing your lawn’s resistance to insect infestations. This proactive approach keeps your grass healthy, green, and resilient.

Summer Booster and Liquid Aeration being applied to a lawn in Lower Sackville

Early July

Summer Booster + Liquid Aeration

This mid-season treatment is designed to support your lawn during peak summer stress. Our summer booster provides a light, controlled nutrient application to maintain colour and turf strength without forcing excessive growth. Paired with liquid aeration, this service helps relieve soil compaction and improves the movement of water, air, and nutrients into the root zone.

By improving soil function during the hottest part of the season, this application supports stronger root development, better moisture retention, and improved drought tolerance. The result is a healthier, more resilient lawn that maintains density and colour through summer and transitions more smoothly into fall.

Early August

Liquid Aeration

Revitalize your lawn’s soil with liquid aeration, an innovative lawn service that breaks up soil compaction and improves nutrient absorption. Unlike traditional core aeration, this treatment penetrates deep into the soil, increasing oxygen flow and enhancing root development. By aerating in August, we help your lawn recover from summer stress and prepare it for strong fall growth, ensuring better water retention and overall turf health.

Late August - Early September

Fall Fertilizer + Weed Control

Prepare your lawn for winter with our fall fertilizer and weed control treatment. Our high-quality fertilizer strengthens roots with essential nutrients like nitrogen and potassium, helping your lawn thrive through winter and green up faster in spring. A second Fiesta® weed control application in September targets weeds, reducing competition and allowing your grass to absorb more nutrients. This treatment ensures a dense, healthy lawn well-prepared for winter dormancy and a strong start to the growing season.

Fall Weed Control Application being applied to a lawn in Lower Sackville

Late September

Fall Weed Control

Our Late Fall Weed Control targets persistent broadleaf weeds at one of the most effective times of the year. As temperatures cool, weeds naturally move nutrients into their roots for winter storage. Applying control during this period allows the treatment to travel deeper into the plant, weakening the root system and reducing weed pressure the following spring. This service helps set the lawn up for a cleaner, healthier start to the next growing season.

October

Mechanical Aeration

Our mechanical aeration service pulls small plugs from the soil, allowing grassroots to grow deeper and stronger. This service also enhances seed-to-soil contact for overseeding, promoting a thicker, more resilient lawn for the following season.
